What We Do
Research
- We conduct factory assessments using virtual, on-site, and hybrid methods, applying standardised tools and protocols to produce peer-reviewed, quality-assured reports underpinned by a robust internal QA/QC process. We also conduct independent investigations into reported violations through grievance mechanisms or buyer hotlines.
- Our in-depth studies cover labour conditions, gender equality, community resilience, and inclusive governance. They analyse social risks and supply chain impacts to inform mitigation strategies and evaluate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting standards, such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Social Standards, to support transparent disclosures.
Policy
- We support the development and revision of national and organisational policies on labour rights, gender equality, and social inclusion, facilitate dialogue among the private sector, civil society, and public institutions to ensure inclusive policy processes, and advise on alignment with international frameworks such as the UN Guiding Principles.
- Through forums, policy dialogues, and briefs, we inform corporate and regulatory reforms, elevate worker and community voices to influence national and global agendas, and promote gender equality, inclusion, and the institutionalisation of worker voice through campaigns and participatory models.
Action
- We deliver tailored training in Gender-based Violence (GBV) prevention, workplace communication, Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), grievance handling, leadership, wages, reproductive health, the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), Human Rights and Environmental Due Diligence (HREDD), and Responsible Business Conduct-Human Rights Due Diligence (RBC-HRDD), alongside factory-based coaching and flexible virtual, on-site, and hybrid learning, including flagship e-learning modules on ethical sourcing.
- We co-develop Corrective Action Plans with clear timelines and shared ownership, provide on-site and remote coaching for human resources (HR) departments, supervisors, and compliance teams, and offer technical guidance on policy updates, grievance systems, and OSH to embed social compliance within factory management systems for long-term impact.
